There's a cafe down on Glenferrie Rd that apparently sells 'award-winning vanilla slices' - just across the street from Browns and right next to Baker's Delight. I'm not sure if they are exceptionally good, but they do fare quite well. I personally love vanilla slices, but the term 'Millefeuille' had me confused. I now realise that they're pretty much the same thing and have come to learnt that many places do serve up this dessert (i.e. Brunettis, Grecos, etc) and would love to know how they fare as well.

Tatura is a town 17 km west-south-west of Shepparton in Victoria, Australia. The name of the town is an Aboriginal word meaning "small lagoon". The area is particularly verdant making it known for it's fine dairy produce, cereals, fruit, vegetables and cattle. It is apparently also where Rosella used to produce their famous tomato sauce.

The bakery has an old traditional wood fired oven and they also serve prize winning sponge rolls, white bread rolls, ciabiatta and vegetarian pasties.

By pure and wondrous good fortune I am off to Beechworth for Easter and will be forced to undertake a little research at the Bakery.
In the meantime I will return to sipping hot chocolate on my couch.
